Personal Training sessions, wherever possible, take place at times which suit the client.
We are flexible in our working hours and work:
Monday to Friday - 6am - 8pm
Saturday - 6am - 12noon
As well as general fitness sessions we can offer Shaping, Toning, Weight Management, Core Stability, Circuit Training, Free Weights, Strength and Conditioning and Kettlebells, all of which guarantee a full and invigorating training session.
Currently the following range of options are offered:
- The Early Bird - A pre-work workout for the early riser! Only £15 per session with Continental Breakfast included.
- 30 Minute Lunchtime Session for up to 4 people as a small group, 3 sessions per week for only £10 per person
- After Work Before Tea - 45 minute session for only £12.50
- 10 sessions (1hour) for £150 when paid in advance
- Taster Sessions £10

Personal Training sessions are tailored to meet the needs of each
individual client. One to one instruction is provided by David and Kay Hislop who gained their personal training qualifications through Premier International, one of the foremost training companies in the UK.
These sessions can include exercises to improve Cardiovascular Fitness, Strength, Endurance, Shaping and Toning, Core Stability, Sport Specific and Boxercise all of which add up to ensuring that workouts are kept refreshing and the client doesn't get bored.
Initial consultations give the opportunity for the instructor /
client relationship to begin. From there, goals are set from which
training schedules are prepared to ensure progression and the meeting
of the predetermined targets of each individual.
All training sessions take place in our purpose built, fully equipped gym which houses an extensive range of cardiovascular equipment – treadmill,
exercise cycle, rowing machine and elliptical trainer; free weights; swiss
balls and other equipment necessary to ensure workouts are varied
and the client is given a uniquely different but effective workout
on each visit.
Time management plays an important part in the planning of the training
plan for each individual client. Times are allocated to clients and
take into consideration their lifestyle, time availability and daily
schedule.

A client base of people from all walks of life has been established
at Hislop Health & Fitness ranging from people who want
to begin a fitness programme, those who wish to add to their existing
schedule through to elite athletes and sports performers.
Flexibility is the key to providing the personal touch with instructors
who are qualified and experienced in fitness and sports specific
training programmes.
Training programmes can be prepared for the following sports:
- Track Athletics
- Road Running up to Marathon Distance
- Cross Country Running
- Indoor Rowing
- Football - individual players and team training sessions
- Rugby – for individuals and teams
- Cycling
- Swimming
Small Group Training Sessions for up to 4 people can be accommodated.
Corporate programmes for organisations with large numbers of personnel
can also be prepared with onsite visits carried out where companies
have in-house fitness facilities. |
